Took this love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
And can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Oh oh I don’t know, oh I don’t know
Well, I’ve been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older I’m getting older too
Yes I’m getting older too, so
I’ve been afraid of changing
'Cause I, I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I’m getting older too oh yes
I’m getting older too
So, take this love, take it down
Oh if you climb a mountain and you turn around
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring you down, down
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well maybe the landslide will bring you down
Well well, the landslide will bring you down
"You can’t make people listen. They have to come round in their own time, wondering what happened and why the world blew up around them."
Thy mercy, my God is the theme of my song/ The joy of my heart and the boast of my tongue/ Thy free grace alone from the first to the last/ Hath won my affection and bound my soul fast.
Without Thy sweet mercy, I could not live here./ Sin would reduce me to utter despair,/ But through Thy free goodness, my spirit’s revived/ And He that first made me still keeps me alive.
"The truth is so obvious that we so often miss it. Regardless of how well you are doing in your career, your relationships, and so on, if your life does not revolve around glorifying God, your life will not be what it should be. Your deepest need no matter your age or successfulness is to turn from sin and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and build your life around His honor.”

Imagine. You’re rushing into the house with this weeks groceries and you pass your bible sitting on the desk for the third time today. You sit down at a table in the student union for lunch and skip the old fashioned prayer because the pizza might get cold and people might be watching. You smile and wave at a classmate you know really needs a friend, but you’re just so busy with school and work that a Starbucks date seems like an inconvenience.
These little moments of being “busy” are actually little moments of becoming further and further separated from the Lord. The act of separating from something happens, at times, in a sudden jolt. But where the enemy finds the most power in our lives is where he sees our weaknesses causing us to slowly drift away from the Lord and loving his people. When we become too wrapped up in our own flesh, and how we feel about serving the Lord on any given day, we get lost in endless issues and forget the single mission we have been given as Christians: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15
Go into the house thanking the Lord for the ability to purchase groceries. Go into your student union and sit with someone who is alone and ask how you can pray for them. Sit with your lonely classmate and invite them into your home for dinner so that they can experience the love of Christ and the gospel in a way that transforms their view of the modern day “Christian”. You are never an inconvenience to Christ, so loving His people should never be seen as an inconvenience to you, rather a privilege. The morning will bring word of the Lords unfailing love if you fully put your trust in Him. He will draw you near to Him when you seek His face.
Refuse to get lost in the sound of separation.
When we commit to somebody, through thick and thin, we’re giving them the gift of our undivided, safe and trusting love, and the price for that is the same in return.
