Oh Father use my ransomed life in any way you choose.

"Spin Madly On" theme by Margarette Bacani. Powered by Tumblr.

I was born at the hands of the potter
and I was torn from the start
I was torn between my god and my Father

I was born at the dawn of our folly
and I was young, and stubborn to the bone
as I took from the tree that was rotting

I took my chance and bit down deep
the weight of the world was crippling
now I’ll hide my shame with woven leaves
I was wrong
and I’m so, so sorry

I knew you’d never forgive me
but I was wrong
and I’m so, so sorry

I knew then that “w-a-t-e-r” meant the wonderful cool something that was flowing over my hand. That living word awakened my soul, gave it light, joy, set it free! -Helen Keller

Daily reminders for myself:

Know the Word of God so that you cannot be fooled by a sweet tongue.

I have hidden your work in my heart that I might not sin against you. -Psalm 119:11

When the devil seeks to tempt us, he rarely attacks us in a group. He comes at us when we are alone and preys on our weaknesses. Arm yourself, in Christ, with the confidence of who you are and learn to never let your emotions fool you.

For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the list of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-comes not from the Father but from the world. -1 John 2:16

When all is said and done, we know that daily we will fail the Lord. We will fall short of perfection and choose to sin, but the story never ends there. Just as we choose daily to sin, the Creator chooses daily to forgive and save us from and eternity apart from Him. He does this again and again. His love NEVER fails. Hallelujah! And though our bodies will one day die, we will live with God forever in glory.

Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God-through Jesus Christ our Lord! -Romans 7:24-25
